5. SUMMIT



This is a 5v5 map I created within Unreal Engine 5. It is a VALORANT-style map blocking and is a 2-site map. The map is called SUMMIT due to the tower put in place on the map. The map itself is generally small, and that was made to increase close-range battles on the map, especially in the middle area between the bomb sites. This is a rough blocking of the map, and additional mechanics were not shown, such as penetrable walls and doors that would be placed.



    This map's theme would be based on heights. My idea for the map would be located on the side of a secret mountain where radianite is being gathered. 



    Throughout the design of the map, I wanted the players to use utility to clear the hard angles of the map, and I feel like there are just enough corners and angles on B-site that make this a necessity to use flashes and smokes within VALORANT to take the site.

    If orbs would be placed on the map, I would put one on the tower and the other at the end of A-long. It would make the orbs appealing for both sides and creates a reason to fight for them since ultimates would be very important for the teams to get the upper hand on each other.
